Oregon Physician Assistant JS7794x – Plantation

Physician Assistant needed in southwestern Oregon. PA is needed with at least 3 yrs experience in surgical,trauma or orthopedics in an acute care setting. The basic job functions of this position would include surgical assists in the OR for ortho patients,rounding on ortho patients in the hospital,and performing evaluations and followup care in the outpatient clinic. This position reports directly to the Orthopedic Surgeon while maintaining a working relationship with staff in all departments including physicians and all floor staff. Evaluates trauma patients across the continuum of care,beginning with the admission phase and through discharge. Coordinates with Trauma Team regarding assessment,including performing and dictating HP and writing orders. Collaborates with case managers,staff nurses,and other members of the trauma team on plan of care for patients. Initiates and follows up on diagnostic evaluation and testing and communicates results with Orthopedic Surgeon. Rounding on all orthopedic inpatients. Sees all orthopedic trauma patients during the day. Admits patients from the ER. Assists in the OR. Spends approximately 70% of his time rounding on patients.
